Why RX Freeform

Engineered Where Stock Lenses Fall Short

Our digital freeform lab eliminates the compromise between clinical efficacy and prescription complexity--delivering measurable outcomes for your most demanding patients.

Unlimited Prescription Boundaries

Extended Power Range

Standard stock myopia control lenses are constrained to −6.00D SPH and −2.00D CYL--leaving a significant patient population underserved. Our RX freeform platform extends coverage to −12.00D SPH and −6.00D CYL, welcoming high myopia and complex astigmatism cases that your competitors cannot fulfill. Every power is calculated individually, not interpolated.

Digitally Optimized Peripheral Defocus

Back-Surface Freeform Technology

Unlike molded stock designs, our back-surface digital freeform calculation creates a seamless transition between the central correction zone and the peripheral treatment zone. The defocus gradient (+2.00D to +3.50D) is computed per-patient, ensuring retinal signal consistency across the full visual field--maximizing myopia progression control without optical compromise.

Bespoke Geometric Customization

OEM / Private Label Ready

No two markets are identical. Our engineering team supports multi-segment concentric ring configurations, asymmetric peripheral geometries, and custom defocus maps tailored to your clinical protocols or brand requirements. Whether you require a proprietary design for your distribution network or a differentiated SKU for a retail chain, we build it to your specification--with full laser marking and private label support.

Clinical Technology

The Science Behind
Retinal Defocus

Three precision-engineered optical mechanisms working in concert to deliver measurable myopia control outcomes.

1,092

Micro-Lens Array

Precision-engineered with exactly 1,092 highly aspherical micro-lenses. This dense array creates a robust volume of myopic defocus in front of the retina, effectively acting as a "brake" against axial lengthening.

12

Concentric Rings

Lenslets are systematically arranged across 12 contiguous rings. This specific optical topography ensures consistent defocus efficacy across various gaze angles, accommodating children's dynamic eye movements.

9 mm

Central Clear Zone

A precisely calculated 9 mm central optical zone guarantees sharp 20/20 distance acuity. Combined with advanced freeform surfacing, it ensures rapid adaptation and ultimate wearing comfort for young patients.

Procurement FAQs

Addressing Your Key Objections

Why choose RX freeform over stock myopia control lenses?
Stock myopia control lenses are manufactured in fixed mold geometries covering a narrow power range (typically −0.50D to −6.00D SPH, ≤−2.00D CYL). They apply a one-size-fits-all defocus map regardless of the patient's actual prescription or ocular anatomy. RX freeform lenses are calculated and surfaced individually for each patient--the peripheral defocus zone is mathematically integrated with the exact correction needed, producing a superior optical result and extending your serviceable market to include high myopia and complex astigmatism cases that stock products simply cannot accommodate. For distributors and labs, this translates directly to higher average order values and reduced patient remakes.
Which lens materials are recommended and certified safe for children?
For pediatric myopia management, we recommend two primary materials. Polycarbonate (PC) is the industry benchmark for impact resistance--it meets ANSI Z87.1 impact standards and is inherently UV-blocking, making it the default choice for active children. MR-8 (Mitsui MR™ Series, 1.60 index) offers superior optical clarity (Abbe value ~41), lower chromatic aberration, and excellent chemical resistance--preferred for prescriptions where optical quality is the priority. Both materials are available across our full freeform myopia control platform and comply with FDA and CE pediatric safety requirements. We source genuine Mitsui MR™ monomers directly, ensuring batch-to-batch consistency that private-label brands depend on.
Do you support OEM, private label, and custom laser marking?
Yes--fully supported across all tiers. Our OEM and private label capabilities include: custom laser engraving (your brand logo, product code, or verification marks on the lens surface), proprietary peripheral defocus geometries developed exclusively for your brand, custom packaging design and insertion cards, and dedicated design maps provided to your labs for fitting verification. Minimum order quantities are flexible depending on the complexity of the design. We work with international optical chains, regional distributors, and independent labs across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
